West Haven House of Hope will provide the following services to the participants of the program:
- A weekly community house meeting to discuss any situation that may arise within the home or with other participants
- Promotion of spiritual and personal growth, by providing morning affirmation, inspirational and motivation programming
- Resources and assistance connecting participants with community services
- Resources and assistance connecting to recovery-oriented activities in the community
- We will provide guidance on the principles of recovery and the impacts of substance use disorders
- Promote basic life skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, social interaction and communication skills
- Assist with learning job skills, problem solving skills, stress reduction, money management, and short term goal setting
- As participants progress in the program an opportunity to become a peer leader to assist new participants in their recovery journey become and stay engaged in the process to reduce the likelihood of relapse, by sharing their own recovery experience, coping techniques, or advocate on their behalf
